Bethany

Founder and Head Bull Breed Behaviourist

Bethany is a multi-award-winning Forensic Canine Behaviourist who has specialised in Bull Breeds since 2010. In other words - Bull Breeds are HER THING!

After getting a certificate at the age of 14 for 'most likely to become a dog trainer' in her first dog's puppy classes, Bethany held that, framed it and took the token nod to a child's good effort and made some serious life choices. When rescuing Bonny, her first staffy, the day before her 18th birthday - that fire for fat-heads was well and truly lit, and there was no stopping her.

Her career began in rescue working at Battersea Dogs Home starting in kennels (she cried when she got the call that her interview had been successful), and progressing to leading a team in assessment and rehabilitation. Since becoming self-employed in 2016, Bethany has gone on to win multiple awards for her work with Bull Breeds world wide.

Bethany is an expert witness in legal cases related to the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and also an expert assessor for Fostering Agencies.

Bethany has also returned to her calling of working with Rescue Dogs and is a Senior Behaviourist for Dogs Trust.

Bull Breeds are her passion and she shares her life with two Staffordshire Bull Terriers, an exempt Pitbull type and a Chihuahua who thinks she's a Pitbull.

Bethany has a BSc in Canine Behaviour alongside multiple qualifications such as accreditation from the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) and has completed a Mastercourse in Aggression.

Libbi

Head Trainer and Behaviourist

If you have ever met someone obsessed with learning (particularly learning about dogs), then x that by 100 and you may be almost close to understanding Libbi.

Alongside being The Queen of communication and complete dedication to helping you and your dog get where you need to be, Libbi is a qualified Pro Dog Trainer and Behaviourist and studied with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and School of Canine Science. She has also completed courses on obedience, and understanding frustration in dogs through a Frustration Masterclass for Dog Trainers. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to her CPD, which is an ever expanding list.

Libbi is also working towards becoming an expert witness and assists in legal assessments of dogs seized under the Dangerous Dogs Act. She also runs pre and post adoption consultations for a number of rescues.

And behind every good Dog Trainer is the dog who helped them get there, and that hurricane is Arlo the Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is a bundle of fun that is held together by GRC Dog Sports (More on that in our Jurassic GRC page) and Libbi's incredible patience. Libbi has lived that adolescent bull breed life and so is incredibly empathetic when guiding you through similar challenges based on her own real life experience.

Hannah

Trainer and Behaviourist

Bethany worked with Hannah within rescue and couldn't let her go - and there's a reason! Her theoretical knowledge and practical skills are a match made in heaven.

Hannah's obsession with dogs started with the arrival of her spaniel when she was 11 years old, this love prompted the start of her career with dogs in 2018 after finishing her BSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare.

Hannah has since worked in various rescue centres, starting in Dogs Trust kennels in Essex and ending in Norfolk as a Training and Behaviour Advisor. In-between, she also spent time working for Medical Detection Dogs, training Medical Alert Assistance Dogs for people with life threatening health conditions.

Because one full time job with dogs just isn't enough, Hannah starting taking on private clients alongside full time work in 2022.

Hannah has also worked abroad with dogs including voluntary work in Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Spain, Romania and Cyprus.

Never one to stop on her learning journey, Hannah is studying a MSc in Animal Behaviour at Edinburgh University.

Hannah is now Intensive Training extraordinaire, helping dogs in her own home to grow in confidence and master new skills, as well as sharing all of this with their humans! She also works online with clients world wide and her success stories are just incredible - we can't wait for you to be one of them!

“We cannot recommend Libbi highly enough! She did 4 puppy training sessions for little Staffy girl Mia, and it has been the best decision! We spread the sessions across June and July to make sure we can practice in between. Libbi’s style is kind and positive, with good reinforcement and corrections where needed. Mia absolutely loved her lessons! Libbi is dedicated and passionate about dogs and training! We had a lot of practical advice and examples, first park walk at 12 weeks, lead walk for our little train pulling puppy (Mia is already showing progress!), how to deal with jumping, biting etc. Libbi also wrote personalised follow up reports with homework for us and send loads of useful tips and links.
We will definitely book more sessions once we’ve nailed all the homework we have for now. Thank you Libbi!”
